Thor and the Warriors Four #2 Reviews!
Instead of doing one million posts, I’m going to lump all the reviews here. You guys are nice, by the way:
- But first, once again, Gurihiru did a wonderful recap of their artistic process on issue #2. Definitely check it out, at this link.
- Fresh Ink gave this a spectacular review, and even got a joke I thought was pretty well hidden – BUT CLEARLY NOT HIDDEN ENOUGH! Really, though, this was a nice one:
- School Library Journal, which is like, totally legit and whatnot, said that, “The Power Pack mini-series’ have been praised for being a true all ages title that can appeal to kids and adults alike, and this new series seems to be keeping that streak going.”
- Comixtreme gives Thor and the Warriors Four #2 a 4.5 out of 5, and says, “This is a truly great comic book.”
- Hero Sandwich gave the issue a Thumbs Up, “Very funny, very awesome, and much like Mjolnir, very much worthy of being picked up.”
- Four Panel Folly is nice enough to like this issue despite the fact they feel they owed it to me to pick it up. YOU OWE ME NOTHING. (Seriously, though, thank you): “There are certain notes a story has to hit for me to really love it. Zalben hits all those notes.”
- By Odin’s Beard said, “I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking to get a kid interested in comics,” and gave it a four out of five.
- The Q Review gives it a 9 out of 10, and says, “Reading this issue was akin to watching a Miyazaki movie: friendly and exciting enough to hook a younger audience, but attractive and intelligent enough to also appeal to their parents or older siblings.”
