The Almost Friday Show names ‘Thor and the Warriors Four’ one of their Best of 2010! Thanks guys, and go watch the show for the rest of their picks, including Box 13, Scott Pilgrim, and more. Yay!

The Almost Friday Show – Episode 41: A Year In Review, Alan.

This was a surprisingly tough list to put together, mainly because I couldn’t find any central list of mini-series for 2010, or many references to canceled series. I trucked though somehow, though.

In case you’re not all caught up on Jeff Parker and Gabriel Hardman’s excellent run on Hulk, I’ll get you there lickety-split.

Of all the interviews I did at New York Comic-Con, I would say this was probably the most important. Seriously. I don’t really understand why the comic book industry isn’t trying harder to get their product into kids hands, but if anyone has that insight, it’s Eliopoulos. He writes some of the best mainstream kids stuff today, including Franklin Richards, and Pet Avengers, both great books that appeal to children without talking down to them. So check out the clip, won’t you?

I had a few reservations about this Holiday Special, but on a whole, found it to be fun for (part) of the Family. Merry Christmas, everyone!

Man, this is really gonna make me blush, I’m flattered. Girls Read Comics Too calls Thor and the Warriors Four Best Limited Series, #4 takes Best Single Issue, and I got runner-up for Best Writer, with Giruhiru for Best Artist. Yipes!

Please head over to the link and check out their full list, there’s some great selections on there - and some of them aren’t even about me!

My first reviews for MTV Geek! Lemme know what you think, and if you think the recommendations are helpful. Basically, if it gave you enough info to try, buy, or borrow, or whatever. Okay thnx bye.

Gurihiru-Blog: Happy holidays

Hey, I got Tim Boo Ba in there! So that’s a win for everyone.

This is kind of fascinating - a comic book that uses the iPhone’s touch sensitivity to affect the story: you shake it, and they get angry; you stroke their face, and they cry. According the reviews, the execution falls short of the mark, but I love this sort of exploration of the medium, so hooray for that.

Hey, I contributed to this! With my, er, top 7, or something. It’s always insanely hard to remember what came out all year at the end of the year. So luckily, I started a list in January… And then forgot about it by February. Oh well. Anyway, some great choices on these lists, as always, and I’m happy to be the Token Mainstream Guy. Thanks to Brian Heater for once again asking me to do this.

I kind of love this promo, just the right amount of tease.

If I was to analyze this further, I’d say that you’ve got one invisible hexagon, the whole thing looks pretty science focused, while also looking like someone’s rocky exterior. But nothing that looks like, or is reminiscent of fire. Just sayin’.
